This proposed tour is very technical, for expert bikers who knows the intensity of the itinerary. It is necessary to have an own racing bike, light and technical. Also the length is impressive, with stages of 150 km per day with hills that are commonly called “hors cathegorie”. The effort of this tour will be repaid by the wonderful and exciting panorama and the surrounding landscape. We talk about great mountains which made the history both of the modern and of the old cycling. Not only the daily difficulties will gratify the tour, but also the natural beauties of the landscape that we will see, great panoramas and peaks that everyone would like to touch, above all one of the greatest mountain, that is the Sella group. Starting from Trento we cross the Valsugana, Tesino, Primiero and Passo Rolle. We go on the Veneto side, so that from Fedaia we climb over the Marmolada direction “Quattro Passi” and Fassa/Fiemme Valleys coming back from Manghen in Valsugana and then in Trento…
1° STAGE (km 100): Trento - Passo Brocon - Primiero - San Martino di Castrozza
We leave from Trento and a small hill leads us in Valsugana. Passing by Lake Levico we reach Borgo with its castle and after a while we find the hill of Passo Brocon, young and new winter ski destination. We arrive soon in Primiero: Imer, Tonadico, FIera di Primiero, before beginning the 12 km of hill that will lead us in San Martino di Castrozza, nestled pearl under the famous “Pale di San Martino”.
2° DAY (km 90): San Martino – Rolle - Valles – Falcade – Fedaia – Canazei
Now the technical level increases considerably! We are in the heart of the Dolomites. Immediately uphill towards Passo Rolle, following the Valles descending to the small village of Falcade. After a light lunch break, we keep climbing up the difficult passo Fedaia, very close to Marmolada and then we arrive to Canazei, last village of the Fassa Valley and starting point for the next day.
3° DAY (km 90): Canazei – Canazei
The very classic tour, the “giro dei Quattro passi”, is a very famous itinerary both for cycling and skiing. Immediately from Canazei the hill of Pordoi and then the descent to Arabba, Livinallongo up to the hill of Falzarego, Valparola until the Badia Valley, in particular to Corvara. We make a break before facing the Gardena and then the Sella in order to come back to Canazei. It is a very emotional and exciting tour, in a unique landscape. Everything becomes yours…
4° DAY (km 85): Canazei – Moena – San Pellegrino – Valles – Predazzo
After the two previous stages, we begin our day more quietly descending the Fassa Valley from Canazei, running into wonderful small villages until Moena. Here we start climbing up Passo San Pellegrino and then Passo Valles, already covered during the second day but now in the opposite sense. We descend crossing Paneveggio park and then Bellamonte, other tourist destination. Therefore we arrive in Fiemme Valley, more precisely in Predazzo.
5° DAY (km 110): Predazzo – Molina –Passo Manghen – Borgo – Trento
Following the bottom of the valley, on the cycle path, also path of the famous Marcialonga, we reach Cavalese and Molina. Now we have to face the last big hill of the Passo Menghen in the heart of Lagorai. Difficult and quite long hill, up to 2.000m. Descent on the Valsugana, precisely to Borgo. After having run along Lake Caldonazzo, we arrive in Trento, ending point of our tour.
